London contains a host of well-known views and buildings. Some have become tourist clichés and we can overlook them because of their familiarity. The photographs on this site are an attempt to ‘re-view’ these well known vistas and spaces with a fresh eye and appreciate the dramatic landscapes they really are.

Many of the photographs were taken at dawn or dusk, when lighting is at its most effective. Long exposures and a large format plate camera have the ability to create an almost hyper-real photographic result, full of detail, with smooth tones and saturated colours.

All the pictures were taken on 5x4” colour negative film. Some images were printed as larger colour prints using traditional enlarging techniques (darkroom and enlarger) while others were scanned and reproduced as black and white Giclee inkjet prints. The photographs are for sale in limited editions of 100. Other sizes can be produced on request, so please ask.
