Technical notes and print care.

All prints will be in signed limited editions of 100 ( +5AP )

Black and White Giclee prints:

  30x20” Unframed print £375 Framed £495 ( 38x28” )

  21x14” Unframed print £275 Framed £350 ( 29x22” )

 

Colour C-type prints:

  20x16” Unframed print £350 Framed £425 ( 28x24” )

  16x12” Unframed print £225 Framed £285 (22x18” )

 

Please note that all print sizes are of the actual print area. 20x16” and 16x12” C-type prints are printed on 24x20” and 20x16” paper stocks respectively to allow a 2” white border all the way around the image. This allows for signing on the actual media and ease of handling. All prints will be signed by the photographer with name and edition number. Giclee prints will come with a similar or somewhat larger border.

Framed prices assume black Lyle & Joule moulding to be the same as that used for exhibition prints.

Others sizes are possible, particularly with the Giclee prints which could be produced up to 60x40”. Please ask if you have a specific requirement with regards to either printing or framing.

Print care and longevity.

C-type prints are exposed by hand on Kodak Supra Endura professional paper stock. Kodak claim a lifespan of over 100 years in a normal domestic enviroment and 200 years if stored in the dark.

Giclee prints are made using a 100 cotton rag ‘paper’ and Epson Ultrachrome pigment inks. Epson claim a colour-fast lifespan of 120 years for their inkset on this type of media.
